Hi,
Now that you've had a chance to download the rules pack, maybe you've thrown some figures on the table, maybe you've just flicked through the pages or maybe you've hurled your iPad at the wall as you've come across an anachronism you just can't live with.
Regardless, we are keen to garner first impressions of the document. It doesn't have to be deep or insightful, but our development schedule for the rules set is quite aggressive and we hope to push out a '1.1' version very soon, so any comments are welcome at this time.
We are very keen on hearing what works (we love praise) but also anything that seems unclear, or anywhere we seem to have assumed a rule rather than stating it. The first battle reports and rules focus threads will appear very soon, but until then, what're your first views?

I may have been a little quick thumbing through the rules, but my first impression from the weapon stats - wotonearthdoesthatmeanitputsmeoff. After a brief chat at the gaming show it all became clear.
May help if along the top bar: dice/type/range or whatever is was - can't think off top of my head.
-my first 2pence worth. Hope to try it and chat about it on Friday night

Hi Neal-
that's good feedback...the final version will have nicely designed graphics on the stat line as well as an explanation as you suggest. It clearly needs that bit of extra clarity!

oh, 1 more thing. . .
The blisters could do with little stickers to show what faction they belong to, or what they are. The paper inside has 3 faction symbols - maybe cross 2 off.

Hi again Neal,
Yes I agree! We have the designs and the stickers made but hadn't see it is a priority until wile released walkers. With the new walkers, walker variants, turrets, heavy weapon teams and jump troops all due ( not to mention Soviets) I think we will need to be labelling more clearly from now on.

Hi, just reading the 1.1 rules as a complete newcomer to your set (I bought some figures at WMWGS or whatever it is called, yesterday - very impressed by your designs, production and clever co-opting of the availability of 15mm WW2 ). Command Test (page 12) says "When a platoon is required to make a Command (or Morale) Test, roll 2d6 and modify the score as indicated in the table below." However it appears that the mods are arse-about-face. Having a Commander within 6" gives a +2 mod to the roll, making it more likely that the test will fail. I presume the mods are supposed to be applied to the Command score rather than the die roll; this could maybe made a wee bit clearer. I like the rule on page 19 addressing mixed levels of cover; clear, concise and giving the attacker a tactical choice. All nice. The Damage Table on page 24 needs a bit of tweaking as the "(Small arms & Shrapnel)" text does not appear correctly in the first column. I'm assuming this is the same for all readers as it is a .pdf. This project is looking good. I like the inclusion of Hollywood Rules as an option.

Can Cavalry remount? I'm not certain how difficult they would be to do in 15mm, but I'm looking forward to seeing some Japanese bicycle troops. Have I missed something, or have you yet to include the rules for force organisation? I know calculating points costs can be a royal pain in the posterior.

Thanks for the feedback - I'm locked in this weekend with the rules for company and a self imposed deadline to get them tweaked. Force lists are started and should be a matter of days away.
Glad you're enjoying the project, its good to know its coming together at the consumer end as well as at ours.

Started to browse 1.3 and there are a few areas of phraseology that could be tightened up. Specifically whether guns characteristics are 'or' or 'and'. I think its clear based on the table but the description doesn't seem quite right. Also Mechs do not seem manoeuverable enough. They should be more akin to infantry or else whats their advantage over Tanks?

Great idea on the hollywood rules and I like the suppression being something that you can shake off on activation.
